VOICES

A Poem by DhaVerd

I will not lie, today I have cried.

I was there, I was alone.

There was no one there for me to hold.

From my tears I felt so cold.

Told were my fears.

Here I was broken, marked as if a token.

In my head the voices had said that enough was enough.

I was in belief that it was it was time to go, but I’ll wait forever so slow.

The voices had me in; I was ready to pull the pin.

For the devil he knows my sin, waiting for me with his grin.

But, no, I didn’t let the voices win.

For I have been broken before, forever more will I gain so much pain.

Bold I’ll walk against the voices told, with all this damage I have mold.

I will not fall, inside I will stand tall, I’ll be the greatest wall.
