FAREWELL

FAREWELL

A Poem by DhaVerd

Just here I'll lay, with this pain to stay.
No I'm not okay.
It just won't go away.
It can't just fade, it's just what I paid.
So here's my heart, I don't want to part.
We aren't done, we didn't reach at least fifty-one.
I can't move on, I can't stand to watch this dawn.
But with your story I will tell that through it all you never fell.
This pain is beginning to swell, I think I'm about to yell.
I do wish you well, but you aren't coming back.
From my heart there is a crack, falling through what was intact I'm into a hell where I must say farewell.
