Crimson Stained Bedsheets

Lyrical poem with darker undertones.

I'll pretend I'm numb from the pain,
Tonight will be my final escape;
even if it's only for a few moments -
the crimson on the bedsheets will awaken my soul.

Can I destroy the nights hidden embrace?
You're in her arms tonight,
I'll pretend I'm alright.
I'll pretend I'm just fine.

And I'm in his arms through the night,
while the crimson of the bedsheets awaken my soul.

I'm no angel,
except for the angel of the night.
Tonight I'm no longer alone,
til the dawn comes on a new day.
Tonight I'm more alone than I'm willing to accept.

And you're in her arms tonight,
I'll pretend I'm alright.
I'll pretend I'm just fine.
