All My FriendsA Poem by DeyeilJust a part of that mood you know so well.
All my friends are clueless, don't you know?
They can't see that everything they see is just for show. Nobody cares to look just beyond the skin, Nobody knows the battle I just can't hope to win, All my friends are callous, don't they care? They can't help but notice how I stare, Nobody asks if today that I've felt okay, Nobody ever has a single word to say, All my friends are strangers, don't they feel? They still don't see when they touch me that I reel? Nobody breaks the unspoken uneasy truce, Nobody knows near half of the abuse, All my friends are sheep in humans clothing, it's plain for all, They climb onto my back but have no strength for when I fall, Nobody comes around when there's still blood on my mind, Nobody helps me get closer to leaving it behind, All my friends are clueless, don't you know? They refuse to know that all they see is just for show. Just for show, it's all buried under my little mask, So for now in my own misery I'll bask, All my friends are callous, don't they care? They only look to see if I can't help my stare. A stare that isn't hate, but one filled with jealousy, If only they could see I wish I was them, not me. All my friends are strangers, don't they feel? How even their 'best' attempts to help aren't real. It's not real, that's what they say I should think in my head, But I can't forget the pain of him inside, of the things he said. All my friends are sheep in humans clothing, it's plain for all, They refuse to reciprocate, no matter how I come when they call. A call in the middle of the darkest night, A failure, a freak, I must be a sight. ... ... All my friends are perfect, and for them I will strive, I only wish that they made it easier to stay alive...
