I Feel

Just a quick poem I wrote when I was feeling down.

I feel so helpless, 
broken and insecure
I feel so reckless,
Timid and unsure.

I feel so dark inside,
Without hope and without a heart,
I feel too scared to hide,
Stricken, paralyzed, from the start.

I feel so shattered,
Devoid of love and filled with doubt,
I feel bloody and battered, 
A soul too black, to be devout.

Darkness to fill a thousand souls,
Pain to cut, a hundred holes,
In skin, in heart, in body and mind,
A pulsing void, innocence left behind.

A death inside, leaving an empty shell,
A shambling corpse to walk this hell,
Tis love I need, tis love you'll see,
That will cure my wounds, set me free

But that's just a dream, forever out of reach,
A hollow hope, a mournful screech.

Where blood will follow the strokes of fate,
And cause a pain, agony so great,

It's only me, for I'm alone,
With a tattered soul, and a heart of stone.
