The ContractA Poem by DeyeilSimply a poem of mine that came into my head. It's obviously very tied into my identity as a Wiccan.
In the dark, and in the Night.
Lit by flickering candle light. A Witch will come with a Ravens name, A Fae will bargain, it won't be the same. Slipping into violent black, The eye of the storm, never to come back. In the branches, and in the vines, A line of ancestry, on tradition dines. A mortal made manifest, for all to see, An Unseelie made ephemeral, no longer to be. Together forever, never apart, Separate beings, joined from the start. An uncertainty, an experiment, Down the rabbit hole, they both went. Intertwined, by moonlight given birth, A duality of natures, from darkness to mirth. One, a force of nature, Another, a product of nurture. A King among the unseen, truly ephemeral, A Peasant among the masses, only corporeal. © 2014 Deyeil |
