EndingA Poem by DeyeilThis is a poem I wrote because I'm going through some bad relationship issues, and I needed to get my feelings out somehow, and so, I wrote.
A picture's worth a thousand words,
But words from you are all I've heard. Promises made, promises broken, Not a single action made, but so many spoken. A vow of love, from today until eternity, You want the best, and nothing else from me. But you yourself, a petulant child, To call you heartless, is far too mild. A day without speaking, now commonplace, You view our relationship, like a race. Who can push harder? Who can hurt more? Who can get the other, to walk out the door? I know in my heart, all you've said is a lie, I'm too boring, too quiet, and far too shy, But still you curse me, every name in the book, Label me a page you've already read, when you didn't even look. And yet I've been a masochist, from the start, Loving you more, with every scar on my heart. People tell me, everything that they observe, But it's true, I accept the love I think I deserve. Maybe I deserve better, maybe I don't, All I want is your love, but I know that you won't, Or maybe it's can't, love someone like me, Someone with chains to a past that can't be set free. No matter why, no matter the reason, It seems we're entering our final season. A show gone on too long, a play with far too many acts, Both only seeing, what the other one lacks. Read between the lines, see the message I'm sending, Fight for our love, or soon we'll reach our ending... © 2013 DeyeilAuthor's Note
