Sister...A Poem by DeyeilI want this poem to speak for itself.
She wasn't there, from the start,
But always there, in my heart. But out of the dark, came a shining light, A new found angel, with a smile so bright. On wings of steel, with a lordly train, came the dark haired angel, we looked the same. An odd new woman, a total stranger, But my love was there, and I called her sister. The once large house, now a half room smaller, A perfect addition, but I didn't know her. So I tried at once, to be a friend, But that was doomed to fail, from start to end. For I was no friend, but truly a sibling, A replacement I was, but one so willing. Day by day I learned a little, Little by little I solved the riddle. The riddle was a woman, yet still a teen, Hating her life, and what could have been. But to no avail, we won her love, As fierce as a tiger, as lovely as a dove. She came to know us, in all our savagery, Fit right in, a spot found so gracefully. A seamless transition, for one small child, One became two, the two became riled. A clash of wills, a duel of fates, And in the middle, the family waits. Love cured hatred, age cured mistrust, Dark haired angel, small boy child, cooperate must. And so was forged, a bond of pain, A family shattered, but made whole again. And through this all, watched the little boy, Begging for a sisters love, not some brand new toy. Slowly it came, the boys liberation, No longer a replacement, now a foundation, For a brand new love, between two cursed, Siblings of the Father, who knew their mothers first. Slowly it came, through a trial by fire, But stronger it was made, through lives so dire. An unbreakable bond, one of family, A brother and sister, for all to see. Turmoil raged, tragedy struck, and death ran free, The love of two siblings, would make the others see, No matter how hard, how uphill the fight, When family is one, things will turn out right. But not all was well, in paradise, A siblings fight was on the rise, A blonde haired devil, left a family in shreds, Siblings fought, sister left brother for dead. All a misunderstanding, but one so broken, A love so large, by the devil was taken, And now the boy sits, writing of how he misses her... Begging her to know, no matter the fight, he'll forever love... his sister. © 2013 DeyeilAuthor's Note
