To Study Or Not To Study...

We have our prelims (important exams if you are in tenth) tomorrow. And we had a free class for studying (makes no sense). And i was just observing our class the whole time and this is what i saw.

The class today is just for self studying,

A chance to not fail the next day,

Textbooks open, notebooks out,

We'll study less at home we say.

But ten minutes in, our vision blurs,

Our highlighter - equipped hands droop,

Heads start turning, talking, laughing,

It's better than brains turning to goop.

One by one the class goes out,

Drinking water, taking bathroom breaks,

Looking around for someone to talk to,

Laughing at jokes the textbook makes.

The exasperated teacher yells, "Ten minutes to go!"

The class pauses, "What did she say!

"Oh what a pain it is to read anything now,

We'll go home and study," we say.
