Through The Eyes of The Beholder

Through The Eyes of The Beholder

A Poem by TheChosenOne

A dog only sees black and white,
An ant is too tiny to see the colors,
But even though we humans see,
Ugly is all we see in the world.

We see the green, the smiles, the blues,
But we choose to see the shadows,
We curse and curse and curse our life,
Looking past the beauty of the meadows.

What we need is optimism only because,
'Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder',
We can either see the gift of life,
Or we can watch the fire get colder.

The world is not ugly,
It is our mind that is,
Watch the green, watch the blue,
You'll realize that something was always amiss.
