The JourneyA Poem by TheChosenOneI visited a waterfall during the monsoon and the car ride inspired me to write a poem, comparing the journey of life with the car journey.
I glanced to my left, the windows rolled down,
The wind blowing hard in my face. Enjoying the green in the valley and fields, My anticipation quickened it's pace. The road so rocky, yet my surroundings so pretty, The outcome was still unknown. But what's the use in attempting to glimpse, Something we can't control? It's better to enjoy the shades of green, Taking in the pleasant emotion, As once it's gone, it's gone forever, So don't ignore this passing motion. A hitch in the road might fling you up, But just as quick, you get back down, That's life as we all know it, Full of smiles and maybe a frown.
