Little Annie and Big Sissy

Little Annie and Big Sissy

A Poem by devooe

Little Annie and Big Sissy
You want to leave
Death is the only exit
Only 14, so much to achieve
But you don't know how. Pill, rope, BULLET?

You can't leave your family. Your sister
She looks up at you, because she loves you
You won't end it all now, with the pull of a trigger
This is not what you intended to want, to have, to do

You go to school, knowing today is the last day
You keep your mouth shut and your tears choked up
You don't have many friends there, but still don't know what to say:
Goodbye? I love you? Im leaving? No more gossip?

Your last day, your pushed to the end of the line
You crash to your room and go under your bed to find a shoebox wrapped in sheets
Your mom walks in to find a gun in your hand. Notices your plead, to end a lifetime
Dropping the gun, momma asks "Suicidal repeats?"

Its happened before, no not the first time you've put your life on the line
Not the first bullet but definiatly the last
The next day at school. You tell them your fine
With a smile on your face, looking like your having a blast

The next day at home
All alone
Back to the thoughts that you've got nothing to loose
To your closet you reach, in search of the last noose

Grab a chair and your video camera

Im at the end
I love you Mom and all my friends
Little Sister Annie,
Yes you too!

I know its wrong
But this is life, I don't belong
My exit is here
With Sincere
Big Sissy

You tie the rope to the fan
On the chair beneath is where you temporarily stand
Noose around neck, hand on hand
Legs go up, jumping without a land

The chair kicks down
And without a sound
Your body drowns
And life is beneath your ground

Sister Annie is back, and Mommy too
7 years old and runs to your room for one big hug
She ran in. No life to view
The end of your legs she tugs and tugs

Wake up
Wake up
Sissy, wake up
WAKE UP

She screams for mommy
"Yes Sweet-Pea?"
She walks in
No life to see, but her little baby Annie

Her daughter is dead
Your dead
Momma cries
And cried

Hugs you
Loves you
Feels the pain
Knows the pain

Momma went through it, baby
But she was alive for you
Couldn't end it at 14
She had to much to achieve

Your gone
You dead. Never came back
Sister Annie prayed for you
Asked Santa for you

But your gone
Your dead. Never got her Christmas dream
Your gone
Your dead

Momma cries
She cries
Your gone
Your dead

Those people who you thought were just strangers,
Felt you too
Knew what you were going through
Went through the same

They were there. Someone always is
Look deep inside to find your happiness
Because you ARE happy, behind it all
You are missed

Sister Annie is at school
she's 14
Trying to fit in. Just trying to be cool
Doesn't want to be a loser, or feel unseen

Her best friends are gone
Her happiness is faded
Her sisters lifetime is foregone
Her feelings were disobeyed

She walks home alone
Texts her sister to wait for her when she gets home
No answer from her sisters phone
Feeling all alone, Little Annie

Gets home form school
Sissy is still dead
Is this all some type of ridicule?
Little Annie, lays on her bed

At home
All alone
Back to the thoughts that she's got nothing to loose
To her closet she reaches, in search of the first noose

Oh, Little Annie. Grabs a chair and her video camera

She tells you she loves you
And Mommy you too
Im at the end
I have no friends

I know this isn't right to leave my mom
Just like my sissy did
i saw how much it hurt you, Momma
But ill be happier

Annie ties the rope to the fan
On the chair beneath is where she temporarily stands
Noose around Little Annie's neck, hand on hand
Legs go up, jumping without a land

The chair kicks down
And without a sound
Little Annie's body drowns
And life is beneath the ground

Mommy is back
Runs upstairs to give her last baby a hello-hug
She ran in. No life to view
The end of Little Annie's legs, she tugs and tugs

Momma cries
Her life is a bunch of lies
Her beautiful children are gone
Everything she wanted to achieve, was leaving her seas

Mommy is stronger now
She stayed strong
She had lifetime to achieve
Her daughter watch from above

They rest in peace together up there
While Mommy stays around here
Praying each night
Asking Santa for
Little Annie and Big Sissy

This poem was suppose to show a story line and explain how depression really does affect teens. Explains through poetry how some kids can go to school, looking like they are having a blast and smiling. But go home to cry- to die. Yes, I write this in times I myself, as a 14 year old felt sad and alone. I purposely took away the rhyme scheme throughout the poem to clarify the point that suicide is shown twice in the poem but is never the right answer as it makes many upset and depressed when your gone. (Momma, Annie, friends)
Once you commit suicide "Your gone, you dead" You "Never come back" Hope you enjoyed this poem/story because it took my a while to write and if it related to some of you guys out there. Your all worth it.
And remember!
-Pain is temporary but death is permanent<3
Im always here to talk.
