Goodbye

Goodbye

A Poem by Devinked7115
"

Devastated by a friend’s story... I wish to bring some light to this dark facade.

"
In the face of death,
Grudges vanishes to the thin air -
Like a ghost, nowhere to be found.

In the face of death,
Love uplifts what you cannot bear -
Like a kite dancing over the ground.

When each of us dies slowly,
Shedding off time in our hands -
Who are we to not be kind,
To another soul passing by.

When each of us dies slowly,
Bleeding memories of what is gone -
How can we have eyes...
Yet still be blind,
That everyday is our early goodbyes!

This is so true and well presented. You'd think there would be fewer selfish people if they realized that we are all on the same fast sinking ship. But there are those out there who want to throw the women and children overboard to ensure themselves a seat on the first lifeboat.

I must agree.
