Millenials

Millenials

A Poem by Devinked7115
"

I came across a video in FB and it inspired me to write this poem. It actually is very evident nowadays, I hope we'd all learn to appreciate life more outside the addicting monitor....

"

Woke up in a hurry for another day,

Blurred between reality and illusions.
Too caught up in radiation - addicting dismay,
In a tiny screen box of imagination!

Our generation has replaced life with likes,
Of social approval over authenticity to own self -
Of harnessing knowledge in an aching back,
Claiming to love life when even self can't be helped...

And in the well where fame and fortune lies,
There are times we dig in such shallowness..
But while time shows the real value of it all,
Stop your tiny fingers -
Get out -
and LIVE most of all!

Not bad. Meaning is clear and some of the parts have some good emotion in them. Some of the lines came off as a bit "forced" but overall you did a good job :)
