Illusion

Illusion

A Poem by DevilnAngel616
"

For the people who hide so much pain but never let it show.

"

Hide the face, disguise the pain,
You hide it all so well,
With a superficial smile,
Strune across your face,
Hiding an emotional handicapped girl,
Whose been destroyed by lies and betrayal,
Scaring a heart unable to be repaired,
So she puts on her face,
To get her through the day,
When she gets home,
The make-up comes off,
And she is exposed,
The face is her security, her only comfort,
But as time persists,
The face slowly becomes fragile,
And piece by piece,
Falling to dust,
It's time to change,
But the face,
Is her own.

Very dynamic piece. The pain comes through so powerfully.

I know too many good people like, this so afraid that no one will want to hear their pain they keep it hidden. That mask does only last so long before the pressure builds too high. Well said, look forward to more posts
