Red Crown

Against the judgement, I'll value my dreams.

I won't belong to the sky

I will follow my way,

Against the lord of the light

Against the sacred king

My blades shall raid through the night

Seeking my enemy

I won't give up from the fight

I'll tune the symphony

'cause my dreams may not be right

but let my heart be free

Although it's so hard

And buried in agony

She gave me her smile

That's all I need to see

I won't belong to the sky

I will follow my way

There's no fear in my heart

I have no destiny

My red, bloody fate

No longer tortures me

Before the burning gates

I deny the prophecy

Among the beasts I'm the odd,

It's not the wish of God

But I have no regrets to think of

She's everything I truly love.

A very thought-provoking write! You posed a lot of interesting questions in this piece, yet in a really subtle, relatable way. I thought that your use of imagery through metaphors was incredible, particularly in the second stanza. For such a powerful poem, I thought that the ending was a little bit weak, but overall, I enjoyed reading this! A captivating, deep poem. :)
