to taste the words-

to taste the words-

A Poem by Melody P-

taste the words of your lyrical tongue
seek the words that sought be sung

relish the rant of yesterday
embelish with time the so cliche

in the most eminent fascination
form the words in sweet translation

seek to mend, evoke, emerge
feel the need to feed the urge

be it ever the truth that conquer desire
an everlasting truth that will require

that urge, that will, consume, devour
mark the date by the hour

feast with dreams that dance to the soul
take the floor w/out control

dance the path under starlit skies
break the mold to your disguise

dance with me within the lines
drawn between our two designs

a work in progress, masterpiece...
a sweet release, regard, increase

That second line is off. The rest of the poem is brilliantly done. I like it. Although I would take out all the "w/" bits and actually use the word "with". After all, you are a writer. Use those words well.
