sweet the shadows

sweet the shadows

A Poem by Melody P-

Sweet the shadows of your crimson shades
Paint it again when the color fades
Then paint my way to vertigo
Paint the path and then let go

That is the path to absolution
Free me from this retribution
Break the chains link by link
In compliments to what you think

I smile to the skies with inhibition
Of thoughts my dear your own rendition
Show me again and then show me more
Triple the notion that was tripled before

But can you? I really don't think that you can
Under the thumb of the hand of man
His way points directly to the path of illusion
Feeding the thoughts that feed the delusion

The delusion you hold along your side
That side being half of the whole you divide
I guess each side ways out equal
But what is original and which is the sequel

What comes first and which comes last
Which is the one that you surpassed
Or are you my dear stuck in the middle
Read the rhymes that lead to the riddle

It's always been there I think you know
And your frivolous ways haunt me so
You look for direction but won't follow the signs
Read what is written but between the lines

Look to what can be surely seen
Exquisit and marked and left serene
Left is the word that leaves things remaining
But forever is a word that leaves no complaining

Wrapped in the deepest depths of thought
Draped to elude the society sought
Be well and beware of nobody but yourself
In and of it's own and of all in itself

Tell me again and then tell me more
It is the truth that I adore

Very poetic. I like the rhymes you use here. Not so typical. Well written.
