The people waited for their cups to be returned.
Every day, the people would ask each other...have you got your cup back...?
"No...I haven't seem my cup since the central workers collected all the cups," was often the repeated reply.
Soon, the village people marched to central location and made a mighty noise:
"Horders of the Valley, Give back Our Cups," they all shouted together.
The people who had gathered the cups felt embarrased. Many had stayed and kept their cups hopeing for another round of Gin to be poured.
The alcohol was a reason to celebrate...it made those who drank of the Gin happy...especially when they lifted their cups and shouted "cheers'!
For some reason, dry cups made some people unhappy...deep inside, they knew that a dry cup was often turned bottoms-up, then put a way.
