Divine Play

Divine Play

A Poem by Devi DM

Oh Krishna Dayalu
The slayer of madhu,
I keep calling out to you
From the depth of unbearable pain
Amongst the sorrowful rain.
If you can hear my plea
Please won't you come and save me
From drowning in this black hearted sea...

Conqueror of the mind
Dancer of eternal time,
Will you not hear my cry?
Musician of the heart
Painter of life in art,
Was this your divine play from the start?

Oh infinite Akshara
Who keeps demons at bay,
I try to fight my way
Through all the battles faced everyday
Amongst the arrows of dismay.
From the sins i repay
Please won't you take them away
From amongst the bloodshed i pray...

Conqueror of the mind
Dancer of eternal time,
Will you not hear my cry?
Musician of the heart
Painter of life in art,
Was this your divine play from the start?
