When you're lost, scared and in fear. When you have nothing left and nowhere to go. When all you want is answers, when all you want is to be heard.

Lost in the heart of a crazy storm
Spinning around till i hit the ground
Am going out of my mind
And its hard to breathe
When i cant seem to find what i need
falling short of a hand to reach

Can't see where i'm going
Tripping on thorns when i'm falling
Nothing but rubble where i'm crawling
Can you hear me calling
Calling out to you up there
Can't feel my heart breaking
When its numb and i'm shaking
Can you hear me praying
Praying to you up there

Shut out in the cold of a selfish world
Loveless hearts its so cold
I need somewhere safe to go
To heaven and save my soul
When there's no one left and only a foe
Just like me is it a dream

Tripping on thorns when i'm falling

Very nice poem, very good imagery, describing those desperate times we sometimes find ourselves in. The key is in the Title, that is how Religion has a negative affect. I have left religion but remain Spiritual. The key to Religion is to teach that God is out there, and that you need someone to intercede for you, they preach a separation. But separation is illusion, God is inside each of us, and the key to keep us from or bring us back for this desperate state you speak of here is going within to our own center and finding our own Peace there waiting for us. Seek and ye shall find Him, and your own Divine Self within ourselves. Be Peace, Be Love, Be the Change you want to see in our World.

Thank you for commenting. I actually don't believe much in religion. But I accept that a lot of people do. I do believe in God and am more into spirituality than anything. This lyrical poem actually to me is not about religion or spirituality. Of course spiritualty teaches you to search within and god is within but it doesnt mean that god is not outside of you as well . God is In everything. Your surroundings, in other species and so on. Not just within you. So God can be anywhere and everywhere.

Dear Devi, I am in complete agreement with you that God is in Everything. If I want to Know God, I must know myself, If I want to Love God I must Love Myself, and if I want to See God I must See Myself. And another thing is that we will all learn to Love each other and be more happy about how we are the same rather than looking for how we are different, When we all wake up and Realize that what's inside of you is what's inside of me. And all that life does affects all other life, and when we fight we should realize it is as crazy a thing to do to fight against each other, as it is to have a pissing section in a swimming pool, because everything we do affects every other thing. And never forget that all of us are connected to ALL of the Stars, I wrote a song this week called To The Stars. If I could take you to the Stars, they would tell you who you Truly Are. We are connected to all of the Stars, no matter how Distant no matter how Far. No matter how distant we think we Are, We think we Are, We think we Are, We think we Are. Blessing dear Devi.

You should find my Friend Kyte Munay, she lives at Watton at Stone if that means anything to you in England. I only know her via Facebook and her Energy Healing work she set up to gather about 10,000 people on the Internet about 6 times a year for Free Distant Energy Healing work. You could put in any name or yourself for healing of any kind, Mind, Body, Spirit. Energy Healing even works in Recordings and across the Planet and Universe really because it operates outside of Space and outside of Time. I only went over the Pond once and it was to Crawley for my work, I went to Rediffusion a flight simulator company, that was our European partner when I worked for Evans and Sutherland in Salt Lake City, Utah. Oh Kytes group is called World Hug and Healing - hear is a link to the organization that is a Internet connection, they announce a date and time and then everyone starts sending there love and healing out at the same time, and people sign up to be Healers and people put in names to be Healed and it helps everyone around the world, especially when you know about it and have an intention with everyone involved. On Friday a friend of mine is doing a meditation with her amazing sound in our Capital Dome for World Peace, that they do once a month, but this is the first time she did it. I call her the Godess of Sound and my favorite song by her, which I heard at the Oneness blessing for about the third time in my life because she plays it rarely if Divine Lover. And she is recording her 5th CD right now that has that song on it, I'm so excited. I have read some poems at her home where she does home concerts, open mic after, and she also does Kirtan which is call and response. She has taught me so much, Blessings again. I missed my vanpool to work but I guess it is because I may need to work a little later, don't know why yet, but I think I'll find out during the day. Thank you. You are right. You come accross people and those people have all been put in your life for a reason. Sometimes but what they do or by what they say. Some of the things you said. Happen to just come at lets just say the right time. There is a time place and purpose for everything. I don't follow all the healing stuff. I do meditation and vedic mantras and prayers and I don't go searchimg for other groups or organisations when I already have a Guru. So I need not search anywjere else. But I hope what you have found is helping you fulfil your full potential and what you need to do and your journey. But it was really nice crossing paths with you. :-)
