P - Pouring out the whole of the heart on paper, while writing,
O - Owning the kingdom of the skies,
E - Easing up the body like never before, while reading,
M - Making tears spill out from eyes.
Whether the tears of felicity or woe,
sometimes they begin to flow,
This is what a poem is, in my opinion,
reading it is a way to learn and grow.
Nice penning Devansh . There's a famous saying by Robert frost ... , .... "Poetry is when an emotion has found its thoughts and thoughts has found words ".... , ....

Poetry is primal.. like breath and its intelligible vibrations...pouring tears with words and their sounds, patterns, ever expanding meanings...carrying great poetry in my linguistic brain, just short lines, have soothed my heart fluctuations when they go to the edge...your poem has helped me examine why i love poetry...thank you...
The first verse is an "acrostic" -- a form of poetry where you take the first letter of each first word to spell something that the poem is addressing. This poem makes me want to find a way to make BOTH verses part of the acrostic. Excuse me for hijacking your poem, but how about POEM WHIM:
W - Whether the tears of felicity or woe,
H - How emotions begin to flow,
I - It's what a poem is, in my opinion,
M - Magic, a spell to learn and grow.
Back to your poem . . . I love that you write about poems in a way that feel original . . . saying something that hasn't been said this way before. I love that you experiment & play with words, with form, with format, all of it. That's what makes writing fun (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Thanks for your sincere review. I love the way you hijacked my poem. I really like it. :)
Yes I agree... you really put your heart and soul into writing a poem; you may also shed some tears as you write about something sad in your life, or something happy...you also learn from reading a poem, and the same emotions may besiege you, either, one may shed tears...of sadness or happiness. Nice poem Devanish! Fondly, Betty
