By the Light of a Silver Moon

By the Light of a Silver Moon

A Poem by Sarah Elizabeth

As the light of a silver moon
shines through the trees
on this cold, clear-skied night,
I lay here looking up
at the beauty of the stars,
wondering,
wishing,
dreaming.
Dreaming of everything,
yet of nothing.
I lay here dreaming of you,
by the light of a silver moon.
