Bury The Days

Bury The Days

A Poem by DevKass92
"

Let's make the most of the time we do have.

"

Flimsy, silly

Translucent

Things,

Be Gone!

As hours pass,

We live

Quite in vein.

Stop! Time

Creeps in

And changes

The living

For living

As they live.

Lives taken

By the Minutes

And the rest roam

Tired in

Manic cacophony.

Trouble! Trouble!

Pitchforks and flame

Lay remnants

Of those buried

By the Days.

Be gone!

Eek! The dead

Cry. Ha!

The living moan

In waiting

For plastic to

Cover their faces

Like criminals,

The Days pass

Only to slay.

Yet, the Days die,

Twenty four

For one life

Is the trade. And

Buried is time.

We live in gold!

We must enjoy every moment of every day we are granted. Wise life advice. Too many look at the dark side when the bright side is all around us. Well written. Lydi**

A very serious poem about life.
"Eek! The dead
Cry. Ha!
The living moan"
I agree with and I liked the above lines. I liked the flow of thoughts leading to strong ending. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
