Solace in Solemn Demise

Solace in Solemn Demise

A Poem by Devin Mitchell Durbin
"

This one is really just kind of a bunch of ideas.

"
Take it as it is,
This is who we are with the lights down.
Screaming words that just don't fit.
We have nothing but focus
when we're out of focus.
Don't tell me its bogus;
we crush this -
you touch this-
and you wanted this darkness
you've found home in the solace
of solemn demise.

Who do you think you are?
Who do I think I am?

I write to sunrise
I survived just to die
where do we turn,
when the walls come down?

We have separated ourselves
from within ourselves.
Who you are when you look in the mirror
doesn't matter.
You are not your scars.
You are not your fetishes.
You are more than you could ever imagine.
