We're Running Out of Relationship

We're Running Out of Relationship

A Poem by Devin Mitchell Durbin
"

A continuation of running out of goodbye's by Stefon Napier.

"
If we're running out of goodbyes;
We have an abundance of salutations
But we refuse to go beyond our boundaries
Into a nation that despises clarity
For a sense of instant gratification
Friendships are falsified by the strength
Of alcohol and social media
And scantily clad women
And a sense of entitlement
Bigger than anything.

We are running out of hello's
To give out goodbyes.
We end everything we've ever wanted
For a life that we understand
Is killing us at every turn.

Stop running from never land
And living in hell;
There is nothing but despair
When you don't care.
We've given up our hello's
For goodbyes.

You're still afraid to fly.
