I don’t think you know

What it is

That you want

 

You’re so lost

Not sure where to go

Who to turn to

 

You don’t know

What you like

What you need

 

You’re inexperienced

No comparison

No history

Your slate is clean

You have the option

Of filling your platter

With exotic fruits

Your plate has been

Collecting dust

For all these years

A few more years

Won’t make a difference

So take your time

To choose these fruits

Pick the ripest ones

The rarest ones

The sweetest ones

But choose wisely

 

Because you don’t know

What it is

That you want

That you need

That you crave

That you deserve

 

Where to go

Who to turn to

 

But I do

Oooh. lol I love the last line. It's like a slap in the face. The rest of the poem gives the impression of falling, spiralling and then that last line is like smacking into the bottom, you know? It's so cool. :)

i donno how such a guy would be feeling after reading this? he looks to be like a criminal in front of a judge or a guilty student in front of a strict teacher or a naughty son after breaking the window in front of the crul father..i like the spirit of challenge and life understanding you showed..

Wow, this is completely amazing! I would definitely have to say this is one of my favorite of your work. It's true sometimes some people don't somehow know what they want, need, crave, or deserve but we do. This is an excellent poem and going to go in my library! :D
