Like I was the only one

 

How great it was to have all your attention

How privileged I felt

 

I wanted more than you could have given me

And I deserved more

I walked

I left

 

I ran

 

You made me feel so special

So lucky

 

But I became dependent

And we couldn’t have none of that

Or I couldn’t

 

So I escaped

 

Now you’ll never see me again

 

You’ll never hear me sound the way I used to

 

And I don’t feel the same

I’m not the same

 

I’m not the little girl who enveloped herself in your arms

 

I’m the woman who you’re unable to grasp

 

You were privileged to share a few months of my life

 

You’re now an idiot for not giving me what I wanted

Because now you’ll never get what you want

 

And I will

I have

And it’s not you

 

Thank God for that

I haven't written in awhile, I haven't been inspired.

I get inspired randomly, this was one of those times.

Ok nice piece to get back in the swing D needs some crafting though. It has decent flow and pathos but needs an edit for example:
'But I became dependent
And we couldn’t have none of that
Or I couldn’t'
Is crude and very un poetic.

haha hun I don't write to be 'poetic'. It's in the form of a poem, therefore it's a poem. End of story for me :P I don't care about flow or rhythm. I write because I write :)
