What does it take

To get inspired

Write down a few words

Here and there

 

Add a

 

Few different

 

Paragraphs

 

And form

A stanza

 

What kind of dime

Does it take

To make something rhyme

Without sounding fake

 

Does one have to be in public

And center their attention on someone else

To have their mind grinding and working

Coming up with a new work

 

Does one have to see something

Sparkly and shiny

Catching their eye in a dark room

To jot down a few notes

And make a masterpiece out of it

 

Does one have to be in a certain mood

Sad happy mad lonely

To write about a certain topic

 

Does it have to be quiet

Does it have to be loud

Does it have to be daylight

Or is the moon alright?

 

Should I put punctuation,

Or should I leave it b l a n k

With spaces in between

To represent the blankness

 

Oh, how witty is that?

 

What does it take to be inspired

For the mind to drift far enough

To write down something new

Write down something interesting

Or is it all about writing down nonsense

And hope a stranger would come along for the ride

And understand every word you’ve written

Maybe I'm suffering from writers block, maybe I've been busy, or maybe my mind isn't all here.

I do admire the way you speak through the silent page. As for inspiration the observers eye is linked to ones knowledge revealed by intuitive associations then cast like the angler in a stream. That's not too difficult is it? Or am I just being a jerk?
