This poem popped into my head when I was walking home from school, I suffer from stomach pain, and I was feeling pretty numb, the only thing that kept me tied to reality was this pain in my stomach.
I also thought I'd write about something other than men and erotica. It seems that's all I've been writing about lately, kinda sucks.
Anyway, Enjoy :)

I understand this poem. I feel like a puppet. But what can I do? Must work and pay bills to have food and housing. I like the poem. Open the door to a good conversation. Thank you for the excellent poem.

I love this poem because I feel the exact same way. On some days I feel like I'm in a rut, especially when it comes to school: get up at the same early time, eat the same thing for breakfast, and then be around the same annoying people. It does get to be really irritating. You expressed that whole tiresome routine feeling really well, awesome job :]
I love how simplistically you state your routine. Wonderful, easy to read and just the right amount of flatness that it should contain.
The ending is perfect.
I don't believe that all people are such slaves to their routines, but I completely get how it can feel that way from time to time.
Good job!
Pain is one anchor to life. Routine is a modern invention. If you think about it, when our ancestors lived in trees it was about finding enough food for the day, eating it, and then goofing off the rest of the day. there was no one to tell you 'hey, I know you met your quota, but go find me some more meat for tomorrow ok?" But then again, routine is familiar, routine gives a sense of security, and (most importantly... or not) it gives us something to do. Good write. :)

Familiarity is great for small children and old people. Should I never get that old. ;)
I often get to college and realise that I don't even remember doing the journey. Sometimes I'll go a whole week on auto-pilot and by the end, I won't remember any of it. I'm a total busy-body. I really can't sit still. But I don't know why. It's something I ask myself a lot. Sometimes I'll set aside time to relax and just end up feeling agitated because there are more useful things I could be doing.
To my cynical - perhaps a little Marxist - mind, it's all to serve the state in the end. We are born, we work too hard, we die. The rich and powerful reap the rewards.
Great poem; really got my brain working!

Especially if I have an early class, I'm in complete zombie mode when I travel to school. The hour flies by and before I know it, I'm at school with no recollection of the ride.

Yeah, absolutely know that feeling. It's scary if you think about it too hard. :/

I love the first part cause yes how many times do we do things because of habit or it what we are supposed to do. Your poem makes a great point, stop living for necessity and start living for happiness.
