Now I don’t know what you can handle

But I sure as hell

Know what I can handle

 

Your eyes

They cheat every minute

Every time a pair of

Young

Soft

Firm

Legs walk by you

You look

Take in

Devour

 

Now why don’t you tell me

How you expect to get yourself a girl

When all you do is eye

What isn’t yours

What you can’t have

 

Now tell me why you’re blinded

By the fact that

There’s a girl standing

Right in front of you

With a pair of legs

That you’ve never seen

A small, delicate face

That you can’t forget

A bright, white smile

That takes your breath away

 

Now why don’t you tell me

What in hell's name

You’re doing looking at what

You can’t have

And not trying to capture

What’s within your grasp

And leaning over you

Begging to be taken

The poem told a real story. Most people don't appreciate what they have till it is gone. I like the story and the strong ending.

agree once they loose you.. after cheating etc.. they come to you all upset and sorry.. saying i didn't realize what i had! It was so perfect.. but i got bored.. missed the chase and thrill....too late then.. you play with fire you get burnt :)

Wandering eyes'll be the cause of a man losing who he claims to love above all else. Then again, if he did love her so, why would his eyes wander? Great poetry as ever, sorry that you're having trouble finding a dude who's serious about you and only you. Hope someone worthwhile happens by for you before too long. It's the guy's fault for passing up what's before him and far more worth having.
