Puzzle Pieces

Puzzle Pieces

A Poem by Destinyxi

Puzzle Pieces

Complete me

I’m missing pieces

Pieces you fit

Every little piece

So I’m confused

A little insecure

Scared of opening up

Taking you

And completing my puzzle

This image has been incomplete

I have no idea

What the picture is

But I know you can

Finish it off

Finish me off

Come to me

Wrap your arms around me

Make me feel safe

Give me a home

I tire and dread

This homelessness

Make me feel wanted

Needed

Desired

I’m pleading

I want you

I need you

You’re desired

All by me

Maybe I’m selfish

Using your pieces

To complete my own

But maybe

Just maybe

I’m your puzzle

And you’re my pieces

And together

We can complete the image

With our puzzle pieces

The metaphors are perfect! The last stanza is gold. Love the whole thing! :)
