Ones StrengthA Poem by DestinyxiOnes Strength
You think she’s just
going to sit With her legs crossed Her chin in her hands Waiting for you to
finally Come around?
You think she’s going
to stay Eyes glued to the
floor Mouth sealed While there are others Walking by?
If she were to wait
around For you to finally
show Her pretty dark hair Would slowly turn
white And her young, soft
skin Would turn old and
frail
She doesn’t need you To be happy To be satisfied To survive She’s been surviving Way before you came
around
It’s not like you made
things easier You complicated what
was once simple You had her question
her values Her morals
She doesn’t need you She doesn’t need him She doesn’t need
anyone
They say there is
strength in numbers Yet most seem to
forget How strong The first number
actually is How the other numbers Just follow the first
She’s just as strong As any numbers In fact She’s just as strong As one © 2012 DestinyxiAuthor's Note
