Chapter 1

The reason love is so important.

   This story is about Jason and Rosa.

   This story includes a man some call "A Hero Without A Cape". He name is Mark. He is a YouTuber, known as Markiplier. To me Mark has a personality I would love to get to really know. He is really funny. He has 3 million subscribers and still growing. He donates to charity  His fans don't have a name, but I call myself a "Markiplite" which in my language means Fan of Mark. People think it's stupid, I think it's clever. Mark donates to many charities with live stream donations.  He donates to the Child's Play Foundation. Every 2 months he does a live stream and makes money for the Child's Play Foundation,

   Jason has had a crush on Rosa since they met in 11th grade. Sadly Rosa moved away to Arizona for her new school. Jason was heart broken.  He begged his parents to take him to Arizona to see her, but his mother and father said they couldn't leave family, friends, and jobs. Jason became angry and decided he was going to live on his own. He gets a job as a intern for a small shop in downtown Cincinnati. He works for 5 hours a day, after school, and stays at a friends house for as long as he can. The plane ticket cost $408.99 , and Jason has 167 dollars.

    Rosa also had a crush on Jason. She begged her mum to let her stay with friends while they went to Arizona. Rosa and Jason had something magical brewing. They didn't know it at the time, but it was coming. Rosa gave Jason something at the last day of school for her. Rosa gave him a locket. It had a picture of her. She told him to fill in the second picture. Jason felt terrible that he didn't have anything to give to her. So her gave her his favorite book in the whole entire world, .. “Toby Alone" , Rosa and Jason sat together for the entire day, they did gym together , helped each other in math, and read in study hall together. Jason cherished every moment of that time. and Jason still looks back on that day, wishing it hadn't ended so quickly. Rosa felt the same.

      Jason had a couple weeks left of the internship left, and then he could apply for the job. He got upgraded to a back room attendant. He put the boxes in the backroom, washed dishes, and bussed tables. Jason wasn't happy but he knew this is what he needed to do to be happy. Jason started to feel alone. He wore his locket that Rosa gave him around his neck and thought of their last day when he was on break. He didn't have friends at work, and lost his friends at school. Most people would call him a loner, and a loser. He began to hate his life, and just wanted to be with Rosa. To him life felt like a Merry-Go-Round of nothing. He went to school, went to lunch, and then went to work. He didn't have family anymore, his only family were his books.

       Rosa felt somewhat the same. She wanted her old life back. She didn't want to be the new kid in town, the new kid in school. She never liked being the center of attention. Most people don't. It gave Rosa anxiety. The only person that she didn't mind being silly with was Jason. and sadly Rosa doesn't have him.

     Jason is almost at 400 dollars. He is excited and keeps asking his boss for new jobs to earn more money. Jason's birthday is in 1 week, and Jason doesn't plan to spend the money on himself, he plans to spend the money on his plane ticket, and some welcoming gifts for Rosa. Jason has some more outlooks on life. Every time he walks by a mall, and looks in the window he sees some more things Rosa would like. Most girls do this, but Jason has a different way to do it,. He walks down the street, and see's the thing he would like to give Rosa, he jots down the name. Then looks at the price. If it is over $20 then it will have to wait.

       Jason is just waiting, and waiting to hit the mark. He was so close he could feel the paper of the plane ticket. Rosa was becoming sad. She was listening to a song, and she burst into tears at the lyrics

"Something's getting in the way

Something's just about to break

I will try to find my place

In the Diary of Jane

As I burn another page

As I look the other way

I still try to find my place in the Diary of Jane

So tell me how it should be?"

    Rosa kept thinking of Jason, "Did he give up on me?" "Does he still like me?" "Does he miss me?" "Has he forgotten me, am I a nobody?" All of these thoughts filled Rosa's mind. She began to worry, and panic. She still loved him, but she wasn't sure if he loved her anymore.

     No one would understand why they were both unhappy. One day after long , long weeks, Jason finally reached the $400 dollar range. Rosa was becoming depressed, and was losing friends. She sat out on her window sill looking at the book Jason gave her, carefully reading, carefully turning the fragile pages. After a couple of weeks she finished the book. The ending in Rosa's opinion was amazing, and couldn't be better.

      As Jason started to second guess himself. He then started to panic, and think of bad things that could go wrong meeting her. "What if she doesn't remember me?" "What if I forget the gifts?" "What if she has a new boyfriend?" "What if she's not in Arizona when I get there?"  All of these things Jason thought would happen, and ruin their friendship forever.  Jason was so worried about meeting her. It's been 4 months since they seen each other. It will be a great regrouping for both of them.

      Today's the BIG day. Jason had Rosa's number from his yearbook, and is getting ready to pack. He went to his parents house to get some things and said a solemn goodbye to his parents. He buys his plane ticket first. The flight departs at 3:30 PM. He then takes out his list of things he wanted to buy for Rosa. He still has $70 left after buying the ticket. He walks into the Westwood City Mall, and goes to the shirt department. He sees two shirts, a Waterbugs shirt and a Skillet shirt. Waterbugs is Alx James and Skillet is Rosa's favorite band. He gets both.

      He is done shopping and heads to the airport to make his flight. It was pretty simple, hand in your ticket, baggage check, and then you get on the plane. It's a 3 hour flight and Jason has his books with him.

      He is in Arizona, but is not in Glendale. Jason has never been on a plane. He is trying to keep calm, and not get sick. He doesn't get car sick, but gets motion sick sometimes. He thinks he will be okay. He has been talking to Rosa for about an hour.

     Rosa was ecstatic to get the text message from Jason. The first text said "Hey.. I'm sorry I haven't texted sooner but I wanted to keep it on the down low that I have something to say. I have missed you like crazy, you were my best friend in school, and now I have no one. I really do miss you..." Rosa felt guilt for leaving Jason, but she felt more excited he still had her number.

    Rosa responded "Jason..., is it really you? *cries* Please tell me this is real? I missed you so much. I have been reading the book you gave me thinking of you. I hope you wear the locket I gave you. It meant a lot to me that you texted. Thank you so much *cries harder* Please be real please be real!!!"

   Jason was smiling at the text. He knew she wanted him next to her. He texted back this..

"Rosa *wipe tears* It's me, It's real, I wear your locket everyday, I have wanted to text you for a while now, but never could find the right words to say. Please don't leave me. I can't deal with not having you. I need you. Please stay there and keep reading the book. I miss you so much!!!"  Jason had tears in his eyes.

  Jason and Rosa lost track of time talking to each other. Rosa was so excited. She couldn't stand still.

   " *cries harder in your arms* I want you with me.. I need you with me.. I love you.. Please don't leave. I really love you, I've loved you ever since we first met. I never wanted to leave you. *hides face* I'm not worth the time. " Rosa started to cry. She was never called pretty, or was never given any type of compliment.

 "Rosa, *hugs you tight, and never lets go*, I have something to ask of you?, I need your address. Please, I have a surprise coming your way. YOU ARE WORTH MY TIME, YOU ARE MY TIME!!, I think about you everyday. You're my everything. I love you too, I was too shy to say it.. I love you, Now that I said it I want to say it more. I love you so much." Jason pictured himself hugging Rosa in his arms, feeling her warmth transfer to his body.

Jason suddenly heard his pilot come on the intercom and say "Good afternoon folks, we are heading into landing, we have now landed in the Grand Canyon state, the wonderful state of Arizona. Have a good night folks. This is your captain signing off. " Jason gets his backpack and his luggage and walks out.

   He feels his phone vibrate. He stops at the bench and takes out his phone. Rosa has texted him back. Jason feels excited to see Rosa again.

  " 1345 W.  Drive Lane. Why do you need it? Please don't share it with anyone else. I don't want people egging my house, vandalism, and other stuff. Please. " Rosa was hesitant to send her address but she felt she could trust Jason. 

Jason signaled a taxi and headed to her house.

"So, I've missed you way too much to be away from you. So I made you a present and I am gonna send it, and you should get it in about 20 minutes 😉”

 After 20 minutes of driving and traffic. Jason stops at a flower shop. He buys some Orchids, and takes them to Rosa's house.

 Jason rings the doorbells, and starts to sweat.

 Rosa opens the door.

 "Hey, I told you, I sent a present, and I'm the present. I love you Rosa.."

 Jason hands her the flowers, "I've loved you ever since I set my eyes on you. and I still look back on that day and I will never forget it. I love you, and I will never stop."

 Rosa takes the flowers, and holds back tears

So many emotions overcome Rosa. She doesn't know what to feel, she is just in shock. Her love can now thrive. 

   "J.. J...Jason, How, why, who... I didn't know you were coming. P-Please come in.. I'm totally shell shocked. I missed you so much.. and can I tell you something.." 

Rosa started to cry. she grabbed Jason's arms and put them around her. She felt his warm body pressing against her chest. "I love you too. To the moon and back."

   Jason embraces her warm body, Never wanting it to end. Jason and Rosa enter the house, Jason is in awe. He hasn’t been in a warm, cozy, and not to say inviting home. Rosa gives him some lemonade, and a cookie. Jason wants to just lie down with Rosa and forget the world. He is still shaken by the plane ride and the bumpy state of Arizona..

    " Thank you so much Rosa. When I was in Cincinnati, I got mad at my mom and dad because we couldn't move here to stay with you, so I moved to an old house and lived there,. I got food from stores I worked at, and was overall sad. Now I have you, and my life has taken a 360 degree turn. Thank you so much for being here with me." Jason tries his best to hold back his tears. but they all just flow down this cheeks.

   Rosa and Jason go into her bedroom and lay on the bed. Jason is staring at the ceiling thinking about how he would get a house in Arizona, how he would get a job and how he would live with the new surroundings. Rosa has her arm around Jason comforting him. She knows he is uncomfortable and feels out of place.

  She wraps a blanket around him and goes to get him some more lemonade.

  "Jason...?" Rosa looks concerned

Jason turns around, "Yes...?"

 "Do you have a place to live in Arizona yet?" Rosa's voice was shaking.

  Jason thought about lying, but that would hurt him more than telling the truth.

 "No, I spent all of my money on the plane ticket, and the gifts. I only have 60 more dollars left..." Jason started to cry."I felt that if I told you, you would think I don't have enough money for you. My old girlfriend broke up with me because I couldn't buy her a Sterling Silver bracelet."

     "Jason...." Rosa voice was breaking and cracking. "I didn't want you to spend money on me. I feel terrible. I am not that old girl. I am totally different, I love you for you not your money. I will let you stay with me. I am making that a final. You are staying here. No ifs ands or buts about it." Rosa gets up and goes into her closet. Pulls out a savings box.

  "Jason, I have been saving this for if we ever met. You spent your money on me and I don't know how much you spent so I am just going to give you everything I saved for this date. Don't worry this is not all of my money. I have a bank account. Take this $100 to give you some wiggle room to spend on food, clothes, and water." Rosa gets closer to Jason, and wipes his tears. Rosa kisses him on the cheek to comfort him.

 Jason cheeks were on fire. He was blushing and sweating at the same time.

  "Rosa, please, this is your money. Not mine. Please don't do this. I love you, you don't need to worry about me. I will get a job.... I DON'T KNOW ANYMORE!!" Jason cries and panics.

     "Jason CALM DOWN, you'll get a panic attack. Believe me I get a lot of those. Just come here and lay on my legs." Jason comes and lays his head on Rosa's thighs. Rosa sings a lullaby  

Jason takes deep breaths and falls asleep on Rosa's lap.

Rosa cuddles up with Jason and they both fall asleep. Jason kisses Rosa's cheeks and cuddles up with her.Jason keeps saying Rosa's name. Rosa is sleeping. Jason has Rosa against his chest and they both have dreams about each other.
