Soothe

Soothe

A Poem by Destiny S.

I love to sit in a bus
and watch as the panorama
of houses, fields and fellow cars
steadily flows by.

Hear the loud chatter
meaningless enough to ignore
and smell the odd scent
of contamination.

Soon enough my mind
will move past what my eyes see
and fly to another universe
entirely.

Soothing and calming
my overheated cranial nerves,
creating space
for new ideas to emerge.
