Landmine

Landmine

A Poem by Destiny S.

This ceaseless grief
is eating away my heart.
Every precious memory
is gnawing its strings apart.
You were my first love
and will always remain in my mind.
But I can't help but wonder
whether there was a way around
this landmine.
