Lonely Hands

Lonely Hands

A Poem by Destinee
"

I don't know what to do with them anymore

"

Come, love, see my hands,

See how lonely they look

Without yours intertwined.

I tried filling the gaps with

Flowers, baubles and things,

But they couldn’t survive the

Snowstorms of my mind.

A very profound way to demonstrate the many levels of loneliness through poetry. The poem expresses this so very well. Excellent writing! Regards Manyfacets

So sad. Your emotions are shown in this piece. I've never thought of hands being lonely but I guess when you get used to someone always holding your hands I can see how it would be hard to let go. Great poem! :)

This poem is very powerful. True, it's very short, but the emotion behind it makes up for it. This is great. I really enjoyed reading this.
