autumn

autumn

A Poem by Rose Marie

The autumn leaves

Blew through the breeze

The cold wind through her sleeves

Skin and bone, bone and skin’

Her hallowed eyes sunken in

A smile plastered on her face

She was the master in charades

A puppeteer ready for the action

Causing her mind a great distraction

They always swarmed her all at once

The thought provoking words that haunt

“Youre not good enough nor will you ever be”

The demons say smiling with  glee

This is a wonderful start and I encourage you to keep writing and never stop expressing yourself. Your words spoke to me because I'm often haunted by my own self doubt and demons. It is a war of self I often find myself fighting against. Thank you for sharing your poem with us.
