Blood in HistoryA Poem by Mika =^-^=I once heard a sad story about innocent blood being shed so much cruelty and violence got me thinking about the past. A history with so much hate, so much ignorance, and fear clouded too many hearts, unable to see the truth, that we are all the same. A fear that only causes pain lead to broken hearts, too many has fallen and stain the pages in books, for the hatred of another, innocence has to pay is that how we meant to live? If only we open our hearts, if only we open our minds and see our differences, why must we repeat the cruelty of dictatorship? Why do we have to take someone else's life because we fear and don't understand what is unknown to us. This unbreakable chain of events we will keep repeating, until we decide that no one needs to fall at the hand of an unmerciful fate. Sometimes this world, seems to have grown cold, so much blood stain our hands, unable to wash it off it leaves a mark in our hearts. If only we open our hearts, if only we open our minds to see our differences, why must we repeat the cruelty of dictatorship? But I believe, if we see the right and the wrong and use our common sense, we can join forces creating a better future for the generation to come. I believe, as children our environment leaves an impact and shape who we will become, but at the end of the day we can decide to cut away the cycle of hate and ignorance if only we open our eyes, if only we open our minds, to see our differences, and see we are all the same.
