Static

Static

A Poem by Mika =^-^=

I've been standing waiting patiently,
trying to reach out for your hand
but it seems you moving too far away
no matter how far I try to run towards you
there's an infinite distance between us.

All this time I've tried to understand you,
but no matter how many times I try
it's never been enough, for you.

No one said love is easy,
but it takes two to make it work.

I'm standing here, under the moonless night,
replaying the moments, we've shared
wondering where did we went wrong,
I'm trying to make a sense out of this,
but yet here I stand on my own.

I just want to feel the warmth of your touch
but it all has grown cold as stone,
broken hopes, dysfunctional love,
my mind is racing trying to find an excuse,
but I cannot do this anymore.

No matter how many times
I've tried to bring back the warmth you gave me,
a cold breeze chills me down to the bone.

A million words yet to exchange
fade into the silences.

I'm standing here, under the moonless night,
replaying the moments, we've shared
wondering where did we went wrong,
I'm trying to make a sense out of this,
but yet here I stand on my own.

I feel you so close, yet so far away,
the light that once used to shine
slowly begin to die,
the music we used to play, now is all static,
my heart is unable to hold on,
I must let you go, so here I stand to say good bye.

I'm standing here, under the moonless night,
replaying the moments, we've shared
wondering where did we went wrong,
I'm trying to make a sense out of this,
but yet here I stand on my own.
