Loneliness

Loneliness is a curse cast upon us,

no matter how many times we run away,

it seems it always able to catch up,

blinding us from seeing the light,

disorienting us from who we are.

Fighting back with all our might,

the chains we are bound to this curse,

only gets tighter,

unable to breathe,

unable to think straight,

we can't give up the fight.

When darkness falls upon us,

we need to stick together

allowing us to gain strength

to keep fighting back,

no matter how far we've astray 

from the path we're meant to be,

we will become each other's light

to find our way back,

you're not alone,

When your heart cries,

and loneliness overwhelms your being,

you must stay strong,

remind yourself you never be alone

even when you feel you lost yourself,

and feel there's no hope,

no love,

no light to guide your way back,

First we learn to live with - our selves, then we can try living with another.

Loneliness isn't about sex nor only love. It is truly having no one to turn to to say ...anything at all. For many it is their only way of life ...and the pain is palpable. Loneliness isn't solitude - seems we each need our own space - as we decide we need it. But wanting to share and having someone to "share" with are two different things.
