My feelings remain hidden

I want to tell him everything but words won't come out.

She said that they were meant together

I can’t avoid him forever

What should I say when I see him?

My mind is only filled with grim

 

“I don’t love him” was a lie

But he heard it as I fret

Now all I have is regret

And all I can do is cry

 

How can we be fine?

When I’m running out of time,

This wide gap tears us apart

I didn’t mean to push him so far

 

Even if I tell him everything

I don’t have the words to get it right

For him, I’ll do anything

Because I know he’s my light

 

Words that aren’t meant to be said,

Things I didn’t know he could hear

I want to say I love you so sincere

But I don’t know why I’m so afraid

 

My feelings remain hidden

As I try to solve this riddle

This confrontation so sudden

Now I’m stuck in the middle.

The rhyme-scheme is very simplistically alluring, as is the language used. The poem and its well laid-out meaning is very easy to grasp and so easy to connect to, especially if one has been through a similar series of circumstances.
