Decay

Decay

A Poem by Alexandra

As the sun sets
The light decays
Slowly disintegrates,
Becoming the shadows of the world
Creatures claw from beneath the dirt
Longing for life once again
No longer wanting to be one of the undead
Stumbling silently across the landscape
Looking for an easy prey
Claws will sink into their flesh
Crimson blood pour from open wounds
Yet no cries will be heard because
Death's kiss is sinking in
It seems especially cold
To one so alone
