Walls

Walls

A Poem by Alexandra

These walls, they surround you
Separate you from society
A prison, where there is no where to go
Confined to your own mind
The darkness starts to march to its own time
No control of where it will go
Speed away from sanity
Crash through the concrete boundaries
You know the end is near
Start to lose your mind
To the demons restrained inside
Refuse help, desperately needed
Apologize for the pain you have created
Empty lies hold you together
Slowly break and crumble away
Shows the face that was hidden
Behind a stoic mask
Agony starts to rise
Slip away slowly
To the only safety you know
Part from this world
Quietly leaving everyone behind
To the abyss, home.
