Do You See What I See?

Do You See What I See?

A Poem by Desiree S.

Do you see what I see?

I see a world filled with hate

Do you see it?

I see destruction time and time again

I see wars

Why are we against each other?

I see murder

Too much violence, I must say

Tell me, can you see it?

Soon, I will see love

And peace in the world

Surely you can see that

Imagine riding on the back of alligators

No danger in that

I see a world of beauty

This new world so grand

No, it is Paradise

Tell me, do you see it now?

Now, I would like to know what you see.

I wrote this because we see so much hate and horrible things happening in the world. I just wanted you to see it from my view.

I love this poem. It's so true (for the present) and I sincerely hope it will be true for the future as well!
Well done :)

W.A.S.P, I don't think you understand my poem. Its not supposed to be sad, in the end there is a paradise with no danger lurking. I am writing about the future. :)

Your poem has a very deep concept, and I agree that there is so much negativity in the world that all positivity (the little there is) has been hidden in darkness. Hopefully that'll change.

Awesome job!

I agree there is too much hate in the world. I enjoyed your write, especially the ride on the back of alligators. Nicely done.
