EscapeA Poem by MoonflowerThe landscape of your mind
Do you remember when I told you All those things about myself I couldn't look you in the eyes they drifted to the shelf Where I kept the things I hid From everyone else
Is that your picture on my wall Curling, dusty edges You weren't smiling but I cherish Tearful smudges, Do you still stand the same, Your eyes glassy and stained?
I thought I saw you the other day but then it was only your ghost passing by With features all black and gray He didn't smile Yeah he could only fade And then it rained dripping puddles, glisten in the moonlight Cause we're not alright But then we never really expected to be Were you yourself when you sat beside me? © 2011 MoonflowerReviews
