There is no escape for the living, and the dead are quite awareA Poem by Moonflower
And they all told us it wouldn't last, nothing will last, So just let it all pass like the wind and the rain, we'll feel coldness and pain And the worst part isn't emptiness but restraint On that gray day, your eyes What did they say Looking like the glass that had been broken and stained
Oh darlin they sang but, they looked so much older Why did you stay, to watch the embers smolder into nothing as the smoke would escape undulating out into the star crusted terrain
I don't remember what you said but the way just the feeling it made, it left quite a stain in the subconcious, of my chaotic brain
Just like the lights on the water, glimmering tears like the eyes of my father, oh he doesn't know doesn't know the disaster the lines on his face tell the story of ever after
So we dance in the street with the rain that pours down the river it rises And it seeps into town but we laugh, oh we laugh, oh we laugh as we drown
Cause we knew, Oh we knew that Our demise was the sound of our own hearts as their harmonies bleed in synchronation with the worlds burning needs
And so we will breathe, with our eyes cast down, and our feet on the pavement, the cracks on the street they follow the pathways to where we will meet with our clothes tight and brown with our hands all unwound, trembling and waving against strings to create sounds
What will we deliver to the faces that wait, wait for our chorus to give them the embrace the flood of the waters in their minds that will change
