Look AwayA Poem by MoonflowerHonesty
I tried to drown myself in whiskey But all I had to drink was rum And it just increased the heartache It didn't even make me numb
And now your silver smile is reflected in the water As I bathe away our sins, As I bury the pain farther
Farther away
I just wish that I didnt have to stay When the clouds are smothering the stars and my knees are bitter from falling Yeah I've ripped open all the scars But I'm not bleeding, I'm just not breathing
The sound of your heart, stuttering against Life...Death... You must be apathetic to my woes So that you don't dig the knife deeper and find a vein For your "friend" was something cheaper Than all of our mistakes © 2011 MoonflowerReviews
