Simply this time, pleaseA Poem by Moonflower
We won't talk about the weather Yeah I know that winter gets you down And I'll just try to smile cause You don't ever want to see me frown
You said that you love me and swear to tell the truth I know that we all lie just to cover up the roots
(animalistic behavior)
They only get us farther down the line Yeah I'll watch your face as all the pain and guilt resides If only you could see the way that these tears fell from my eyes A river of reflections, sinking and drowning "Why"'s
OH what were you looking for when you walked out your door (and turned off your phone)
Did her smiling eyes reflect her golden winters glow? Did her laughter brush lightly across your fingertips, frowning when you had to go?
I'll never forgive these stony skies, these bleak and whispering good byes Because I know that you never loved
the winter.
