Midnight Serenades
A Poem by
Moonflower
You'll find her beneath the willow tree Softly praying on her knees Under midnight skies she swoons Crying out to her father Moon Coyote meets her solemn call Howling his melancholy song Fairies meet her in the night Sighing with her precious sight They dance beneath the Willow tree Singing of that far away sea Where lands of beauty have crystal skies and their Mother laughs with twinkling eyes She bows her head and Sings in praise Remembering that hallow place The willow sighs with tender leaves as she prepares to take her leave Into the night she slowly waits for her Mother to bind her fate

Oh ...makes think of days long gone by...a pagan lass lost in grief...but that is just my interpretation...your words like much needed rain fall on the hearts of your admirers :)

It does call, and how sweetly does it sing... a captivating night song; I could hear the wolves in the distance join their voices to the chorus...

Beautiful piece- love the imagery. I would either capitalize the first "Willow" or make the second lowercase. Otherwise, very nice piece, as usual. :)

I loved this. It was smooth and wistful, and it was perfectly balanced. The only part I didn't like was in the third to the last stanza, place just doesn't seem right to me. It goes with what you're trying to say, but it doesn't sound right, but it's great the way it is. Well done.
